Southsea Sub-Aqua Club's Chairman was delighted to present a certificate to 11 year old Oliver Ryan on completion of his Snorkel Diver Qualification. It was only 18 months ago that Ollie first learnt to swim and his confidence in the water has grown tremendously since then. Ollie started snorkel training in December 2014 and excelled in the theory sessions which included a number of hands-on practical experiments in the kitchen of one of his instructors. Bottles of water with holes down the side to illustrate that water pressure increases at depth - ended up with water all over his Dad! Proud Dad, BSAC Advanced Instructor Tony Ryan, had an additional surprise for Oliver - a fantastic underwater action video camera as a present for doing so well.
