The Dive Leader (DL) course is a great way for a diver to progress with their knowledge of diving and to provide them with improved skills for planning dives and accompanying lesser experienced divers. To sign up for the course, you should first have completed the BSAC Sports Diver Course, or an equivalent course (i.e. Rescue Diver) with another agency.

Upon completion of the course, you’ll have improved your diver rescue skills, learned more about looking after inexperienced divers, be able to marshal club dives, be in an improved position to manage diving incidents and more.

Once the various modules have been completed, including the theory test, the candidate may proceed with some “depth progression” dives at 5m increments to increase their maximum depth to 50m.
